Schulich Builders Scholarships are awarded to students enrolling in full-time certificate and diploma programs in eligible skilled trade fields at participating Ontario colleges. Colleges will offer this scholarship in programs with the most in-demand jobs in the skilled trade sector in Ontario. The program will award 100 scholarships annually with 10 scholarships available at each participating college. Scholarships are valued at up to $40,000 ($20,000 per academic year), supporting the costs of tuition, living expenses and tools. Schulich Builders will benefit from internal resources at the college, enhancing their student experience and assisting with their employment upon graduation. Schulich Builders scholarships aim to recognize and enable Ontario’s future skilled trade workers, with an annual investment of over $3 million through top Ontario colleges.
Schulich Builders Scholarships are looking for responsible, hardworking, dedicated students who:
- Are Canadian citizens or permanent residents;
- Meet college admission requirements;
- Be entering their first year of an eligible skilled trades certificate or diploma program, starting in Fall 2024. *see list of programs*
- Applicants must confirm their attendance and pay admission deposit fee.
Selection Criteria:
You must meet the following criteria to be in contention for the scholarship:
- Strong work ethic and character, as evidenced by one recommendation letter provided by either:
- High school staff member
- Employer
- Co-worker
- Community service organization
- Demonstrate financial need;
- Willingness to act as a Schulich Builder ambassador and promote their chosen skilled trade and the Schulich Builders program in high schools and throughout community outreach events.
Application Requirements:
Conestoga College Schulich Builders Selection Committee will contact those applicants invited to participate in an interview with the selection committee in July.

Signification Dates (2024- 2025, Academic year):
May 31: Application deadline, all supplemental documents need to be submitted by this date
June 11: Payment of a tuition deposit must be made by this date to avoid cancellation of both the Offer of Admission and scholarship.
July 31: Scholarship recipients to be announced.
