Thank you for your past support of Conestoga’s Iron Chef Waterloo Region competition and for helping make it such a success.

Since the annual competition was introduced in 2011, we have raised more than $78,000 to support scholarships for students in Conestoga’s Culinary programs. Our students have also had the opportunity to work directly with chefs from some of the region’s top restaurants, gaining invaluable experience as they prepare for their future careers.

Supported by outstanding restaurant partners, industry and community sponsors, the annual event has also provided an effective showcase for our region’s tremendous food culture.

This fall, Conestoga will celebrate the official opening of a new Culinary & Hospitality Institute at our campus in Waterloo. This state-of-the-art facility will support new and expanded programming and applied research that will foster innovation and entrepreneurship for our region’s burgeoning culinary and tourism sectors. We look forward to sharing it with you.

As a result, we are suspending this year’s Iron Chef Waterloo Region event. In its place, we will be launching a new event this fall to introduce our new facility to the community.
