Eclipse Scholarships

Eclipse Automation has generously provided support to students enrolled full-time in Conestoga College’s School of Trades and Apprenticeship and School of Engineering & Technology through the establishment of these awards.  The awards by Eclipse Automation not only help students build successful careers but also contribute to a more inclusive and skilled workforce in the engineering and trades sectors.

 

 

Selected post-secondary students will receive a $10,000 award:

  • Funds will be applied to tuition and fees
  • Any surplus will be given to the student after successful completion.
  • Applications are open to Full time domestic OR international students

Eclipse Automation - Diversity Award

This award has been established to recognize an individual who has significantly contributed or demonstrates inclusive participation in their everyday behavior, making substantial contributions to the advancement of equity, diversity, and inclusion within their academic field.

The recipient of this award will have successfully completed their first year of an eligible program and demonstrated outstanding efforts in fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, going above and beyond to enhance diversity in engineering practices.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Successfully completed year-1 and enrolled in one of the following programs:
    • Mechanical Engineering Technology Robotics & Automation Advanced Diploma
    • Welding & Fabrication Technician
    • Bachelor of Engineering – Electronics Systems Engineering
    • Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical Systems Engineering
    • Electro Mechanical Automation Maintenance
    • Electrical Technician – Industrial

 

  • Demonstrate outstanding efforts in fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Go above and beyond to enhance diversity in engineering or trades practices
  • One award will be available to a student in the School of Engineering, and one award to a student in the School of Trades
  • Applicants should complete the online application. Please note it will require a short video upload. Submissions will be reviewed in conjunction with faculty feedback.
  • Successful recipients will be notified through student email.

Eclipse Automation - EMAM Lab Award

This award recognizes an individual who shows outstanding commitment to participation and collaboration in the classroom. The recipient consistently demonstrates a proactive approach to learning, engagement, and collaboration. They assume a leadership role with peers, contributing to a dynamic and positive environment. Their enthusiasm, teamwork, and dedication to shared learning goals make them a valued member of the academic community.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Successfully completed year-1 and enrolled in year-2 of the following program with no academic offences:
    • Electro Mechanical Automation Maintenance
  • Assume a leadership role amongst peers.
  • Seeks innovative ideas and solutions in the lab
  • Applicants should complete the online application. Please note it will require a short video upload. Submissions will be reviewed in conjunction with faculty feedback.
  • Successful recipients will be notified through student email.

Eclipse Automation - Robotics & Automation Engineering Scholarship

This award recognizes a who shows outstanding commitment to participation and collaboration in the classroom. This student consistently demonstrates a proactive approach to learning and engages with peers in a collaborative spirit, contributing to a dynamic and positive environment. Their enthusiasm, teamwork, and dedication to shared learning goals make them a valued member of the academic community.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Successfully completed year-1 and currently registered in Year 2 of the Mechanical Engineering Technology – Robotics & Automation
  • No academic offences

Eclipse Automation - Co-op Student Award

This award has been established to recognize a co-op student who has completed two (2) or more terms with Eclipse Automation. The completed co-op terms can be in the same department or different departments.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • No academic offences
  • Successfully completed 2 co-op work terms with Eclipse Automation.
  • Received an Above Average or Exceptional performance evaluation from their co-op supervisor of Human Resources
  • Eligible programs include:
    • Computer Programming & Analysis
    • Mobile Solutions Development
    • Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting/Audit and Information Technology
    • Bachelor of Business Administration – International Business Management
    • Business Administration – Marketing
