Conestoga’s School of Trades and Apprenticeship receives generous support from the Canerector Foundation for the Canerector Foundation Scholarships in the Skilled Trades programs. These scholarships support first-year post-secondary students entering the skilled trades.
Selected post-secondary students will receive $2,000 per semester from the Canerector Foundation Scholarship program:
- Students enrolled in a one-year program will receive up to a maximum of $4,000
- Students enrolled in a two-year program will receive up to a maximum of $8,000
Eligibility Criteria:
All applicants to the Canerector Foundation Scholarship in the Skilled Trades must:
- be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person/Refugee
- be entering the first year of an eligible skilled trade program of study (construction, industrial, and motive power sectors) and registered as a full-time domestic student, see list of programs
Applicants must:
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average for their program of study and remain in good standing.
- Demonstrate:
- Passion and enthusiasm for skilled trades, and a strong desire to build a successful career in skilled trades
- Willingness to participate in one mentorship activity per semester
