Conestoga’s School of Trades and Apprenticeship receives generous support from the Canerector Foundation for the Canerector Foundation Scholarships in the Skilled Trades programs. These scholarships support first-year post-secondary students entering the skilled trades.
Selected post-secondary students will receive:
- $1,000 entry award, and
- $1,000 per semester from the Canerector Foundation Scholarship program up to a maximum of $5,000
Eligibility Criteria:
All applicants to the Canerector Foundation Scholarship in the Skilled Trades must:
- be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person/Refugee
- be entering the first year of an eligible skilled trade program of study (construction, industrial, and motive power sectors) and registered as a full-time domestic student see list of programs
Applicants must:
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average for their program of study and remain in good standing.
- Demonstrate:
- Passion and enthusiasm for skilled trades and a strong desire to build a successful career in skilled trades.
- Willingness to provide mentorship to prospective students interested in the skilled trades programs.
- Participate in co-curricular events to promote skilled trades careers.
- Engage in all extra co-curricular aspects of the Canerector Foundation Scholarship in the Skilled Trades program.

- Upload a copy of your recent transcript (high school) or Student Achievement (post-secondary).
- Upload your current resume, listing work and/or volunteer experience.
- Participate in a virtual interview (invite-only for selected applicants)
