School of Engineering and Information Technology and Institute for Food Processing Technology

The School of Engineering and Information Technology, home to Ontario’s first of its kind Institute of Food Processing Technology (IFPT), will be the anchor building on Conestoga’s new 130 acre Cambridge Campus. This unique 260,000 sq ft facility will focus its programming on training for advanced manufacturing, engineering, information technology, and food processing. This new building will open in the summer of 2011.

School of Health and Life Sciences and Community Services

Conestoga’s School of Health is a leader in the education of health care and life sciences practitioners. Our graduates serve in fields as diverse as front-line Nursing, Seniors Care, Emergency Services, Biotechnology, and Health Informatics. The establishment of a 70,000 sq ft applied learning and research facility at the Doon campus, will allow Conestoga to create Ontario’s most advanced health care/biotechnology training resource within a polytechnic / college environment and double the number of students trained.

Motive Power Skills Training Centre

In response to industry demand for a broader and more diversified offering of programs, Conestoga will create, through an addition and renovations, a dedicated 29,000 sq ft Motive Power Skills Training Centre. The Guelph campus will train practitioners (technicians, apprentices and pre-apprentices) in four specific high demand areas: Alternative Fuel Vehicles, Motor Coach Passenger Vehicles, Heavy Equipment and Small Engine Vehicles.

HRAC Skills Training Centre

Focused on providing the most innovative internal and external training environments in Ontario, the new 10,000 sq ft HRAC Skills Training Centre will serve the industry and enhance its base of qualified/highly trained professionals. In January 2011, Conestoga introduced several new programs in the new HRAC Skills Training Centre.

Ingersoll Power Centre

Working with the Town of Ingersoll and industry partners, Conestoga is creating a Power Centre of Excellence. In June 2010, a modern 12,000 square foot facility was opened in Ingersoll to support the Electrical Utilities in Ontario.

Roofing Skills Training Centre

In partnership with the Ontario Industrial Roofing Contractors Association (OIRCA), Conestoga is creating Ontario’s only dedicated Roofing Skills Training Centre. In May 2010; this modern 12,000 sq ft Centre was opened to support industry through the development of new training programs that will support new and emerging roofing technologies, construction practices and materials.
