In 2011, the Alumni Association created 16 new awards and 2 bursaries across all schools and programs.

• Alumni Association School Awards
  The Alumni Association created these awards to support students graduating from Conestoga who have shown a positive attitude, a sense of community and maintained a strong overall academic achievement.

• Endowed Entrance Bursary
  The Alumni Association created this award to support a student graduating from the School of Career and Academic Access who demonstrates a financial and is continuing their education at Conestoga and who has shown a positive attitude, a sense of community and maintained a strong overall academic achievement.

• Endowed In-Course Bursary
  The Alumni Association created this award to support a single parent, alumnus or first generation student who demonstrates a financial need is registered full time in the following semester and who has shown a positive attitude, a sense of community and maintained a strong overall academic achievement.

First-year, first-time students whose parent or guardian is a graduate of Conestoga may also apply for The Welcome Home Award. These awards are presented to students at the Alumni of Distinction Awards gala evening held annually in November.

The Alumni Council of Conestoga offers a number of annual awards to recognize the alumni community who have achieved substantial career success, made a significant contribution to society/community and have achieved professional recognition. This includes the Alumni of Distinction Awards handed out by the college each November and the Colleges Ontario Premiere's Awards presented annually at a ceremony in Toronto. Nominations for these awards are accepted on an on-going basis.
